Darlington

Chandler and Hannah Monaghan Darlington lived on the outskirts of Kennett Square in a home known as "The Pines". They were the third owners of the property to be involved in the Underground Railroad. The Darlington's would take in freedom seekers, see to their needs and provide a warm meal before taking them to their next station. Many times, the next station would be that of Sarah Darlington Barnard and Simon Barnard in Newlin, PA.
