Welcome to the
Kennett Underground Railroad Center

KURC is a not-for-profit all-volunteer organization located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, dedicated to telling the stories of Underground Railroad sites and participants in this area. We invite you to attend our special events or take a guided tour with one of our knowledgeable local guides.

Please visit our Tours pages or contact us for more information.

SPECIAL EVENT!

KURC’s Pop-Up Museum will take place for one day only—Saturday June 16, 2018—as part of Historic Kennett Square’s Juneteenth Celebration.
Stop by to chat with board members, ask questions of scholar Christopher Densmore,
and learn about local history and events that are as relevant today as they were in the 1830s to the 1860s.

We look forward to seeing you there!

For more information visit our Facebook Events page or Historic Kennett Square’s website for the day’s full schedule.
